FAQ
Does the modification affect performance? A: We’ve tried to improve performance by updating the game to the latest version of VitaGL and optimizing resources. However, the final performance may vary depending on the scene.
Do I need to start a new game? A: Yes. Starting from version 1.5.
Are Android saves supported? A: No. Starting from version 1.5.
How do I enter cheat codes? A: The game supports original PC-version cheat codes. Press L1 + Select to open the cheat menu. You can find the full list of cheat codes in the manual on the LiveArea screen.
Can I add my own music to the game? A: No, the game does not support custom music.
Can I change the controls? A: Open the Configuration App (LiveArea – gear icon) → Configure Controls.
How do I use the touchscreen in the game? A: Open the Configuration App (LiveArea – gear icon) → Enable the checkbox “Front Touchpad L2/R2”.
How do I enable free aiming in the game? A: By default, during Auto Aim, press D-Pad Down to switch to Free Aim mode. You can reassign the control in the Configuration App.
Why didn’t you add *insert_any_cool_mod_name_here*? A: The PS Vita version of the game does not support AML, ASI, or CLEO mods. Porting them is either impossible or would require an unreasonable amount of time.
Can I install Project Kaizo on your version of the game? A: No. Project Kaizo replaces the script files, which completely removes all changes we’ve made to the game’s behavior and logic.
Why didn’t you bring back volumetric clouds, heat haze, and other atmospheric effects? A: Same reason as above. There’s no other way to restore these features.
The game crashes frequently! A: If you’re using the rePatch plugin, make sure it’s the rePatch reLoaded version. Older versions of rePatch are incompatible and may cause frequent crashes or prevent the game from launching at all.
The game crashes on load! A: Delete the following files and folders if they exist:
ux0:data/rt/gtasa/models/MINFO.BIN
ux0:data/rt/gtasa/CINFO.BIN
ux0:data/shader_cache
And try again. If nothing helps, please contact us via the ‘Feedback’ page.
Do you plan to update the game further? A: Version 1.5 is the final release. We do not plan any further updates.
Known Issues
The game may crash occasionally. This is related to the specifics of the PS Vita version.
Save manually more often. Starting from version 1.5, checkpoints added in the mobile version of the game have been removed!
In some heavily loaded scenes, the FPS counter may drop to 17–19. This is related to the specifics of the PS Vita version.
A short stutter may occur when switching radio stations. This is related to the specifics of the PS Vita version.
Music and ads on some radio stations may still cut off. This is related to the specifics of the PS Vita version.
Some motorcycles may display incorrect tire textures.
